No Need to Run

Often we see people running from the situations and not facing them, which made me wonder why do we do it and how can we be the fighters. Therefore, my this poem shows how can we achieve it.

NO NEED TO RUN

While driving the car

On my way to office,

Got banged into by a mobike

In the heavy traffic.

I sensed this could happen

As that was a sudden jerk,

Thought of scolding the guy,

Yet could not go berserk.

This was because

He was a young collegiate,

Excited he might be,

Of riding a bike of late.

I only thought of preaching to

Not to ride that fast,

For it didn’t hurt me,

But could have been his last.

So, as I opened the window

Of my injured car,

The lad ran scared

As running from the war.

Escaped, assumed he, but

That’s what he cannot,

He will always be a shirker,

In his own web of thought.

This is what we all do,

I earnestly cogitated,

Run from the problem,

Is what we are habituated.

Let’s turn it to a challenge,

And do a face-off.

Let’s learn to be a fighter,

Rather than to scoff.

It’s you who’s in the situation

And only you can duly mend,

Your staying will surely help,

So there’s no need to run my friend.

APPRECIATION

बस कह दें शाबाश

ज्यादा कुछ नहीं चाहिए, जो मुझे बना दे ख़ास,

इतना सा ही काम करें, बस कह दें शाबाश!

कभी कोई छोटा सा ही काम अगर कर दूँ,

किसी की झोली में बस एक ख़ुशी भर दूँ,

मेरे नन्हे हाथ चाहे एक लकीर ही बनायें,

चाहे इनसे उलटे-सीधे ही रंग भरे जाएँ,

चाहे बस एक ही कदम बड़ा मैं पाऊं,

चाहे हर कदम के बाद मैं गिरता जाऊं,
पर मेरे फिर से उठने का दिलाएं एहसास,

इनाम कोई ना दें मुझे, बस कह दें शाबाश!

अगर कोई गलती मुझसे कभी हो जाए,

जो आना चाहिए वह परिणाम न भी आये,

पर मेरे काम करने की चाह ज़रूर देखिये,

जो भी समय लगाया उसे व्यर्थ न होने दीजिये,

मेरी हर एक कोशिश को न अनदेखा कीजिये,

आगे बढने की आशा को उड़ान दीजिये,

 एक “वाह” भी बड़ा सकती है मेरा आत्म-विश्वास,

और न दे कुछ मुझे, बस कह दें शाबाश!

जीवन के मुश्किल मोड़ पर गर जाए कोई फिसल,

ऐसा नहीं कि फिर वो सकता नहीं संभल,

पस्त हुए इरादे भी, फिर हो सकते हैं प्रबल,

आपके चंद शब्दों में ही है इतना बल,

गर सही कदम बढ़ता कोई, तो रखता है वो चाह,

मिले उन्हें शब्द आपके वाह-वाह, वाह-वाह!

हर कोई कोशिश नहीं करता केवल इनाम के लिए,

क्या वर्षों की मेहनत बेकार एक परिणाम के लिए?

न होने दें किसी के प्रयास का परिहास,

बंधी रहने दें सबके दिलों में जीत के आस,

न दें पायें कुछ ज्यादा तो ना दें,

कंधे पे हाथ रख के, बस कह दें शाबाश!

For I trust Lord…

I am standing right here,
Firm and strong.
Proudly carrying all my
Beautiful scars along.

Each scar bears a
Long  and hefty story.
Though they seem ugly,
But gave me the glory.

Tired I may look,
But that's surely I'm not.
Rest I may take… but quitting?
Not even in the thought.

Winning is the nutrient,
I am nurtured with.
You can feed me to lose?
It's your sheer myth.

They  try to shackle me up
And crush me like a twig, but
 now nothing can cease me,
'cause I'm born to make it big.


Come, give me more wounds!
I shall still "stand still".
Let the wounds leave the scars
For they make my will "strong will".

Mediocity doesn't suit me,
Zenith is for which I strive.
Don't care if you can't handle me,
Just go, get a life.

I can live tough days and nights,
and can walk a sharp sword.
I shall dwindle not by an inch,
For I trust the gracious Lord.
