Let me be

I shall reach the sky,

Only if you let me fly.

Let my thoughts soar,

I only ask for love 

and nothing more.

I am a part of ‘you’

Not just any other guy.

I hope for my sake,

You will let me fly.

I am a separate soul,

With separate body and mind.

Have my own beliefs,

hopes and dreams,

I am my very own kind.

You could not be! But why?

At least let me try.
