Love thy Family

Folks!

Love You, Family

Hey daddy, do you miss me?

And momma, what ‘bout you?

Your li’le girl has grown up

Come and look, where are you?

You both are not here,

In the world unknown

It’s kinda strange, being

Away and alone.

Oh father, I remember you

Giving comfort in your lap,

Blah Blah! I’d keep on talking,

And you listening to all my crap.

Fall, damn tear, and

Mamma you catch in the way

Worry ‘bout me and pray

Awake all night long you stay.

My sweet, darlin' brother

I love you more than ever.

Think you can hide your emotions?

Oh baby, you’re not so clever.

My world has changed,

Where I can't see you guys around,

But don't worry, you all are here,

In my heart — safe and sound.

MERE PITA ( My father)

Dear Readers,

Here comes my new hindi poem straight from my heart. I dedicate this poem to my father and also to all the doting fathers of the world from the daughters who consider their fathers their idols like I do...
The poem goes like this:

 मेरे पिता

पिता के समान बुलंद बनूँगी,

उन्हीं के नक्श-ए-कदम पे चलूंगी,

न हिलुंगी अपने इरादों से अब,

मैं अपने पिता का नाम रोशन करुँगी!

पहले तो मुझे ऊँचे सपने दिए,

फिर उनमे रंग कई अपने दिए,

सच की राह पर चलना सिखाया,

कठिनाई में जीत की उम्मीदें पनपने दिये!

मानव की सेवा ही है सच्चा धर्म,

मेरे पिता की सीख में है देखो कैसा मर्म,

रोता कोई दूर कहीं तो दर्द इन्हें भी होता है,

मैं हूँ उनकी बेटी जिनका ह्रदय अति नर्म!

शब्दों में शक्कर, और चेहरे पे मुस्कान,

लेकर हैं चलते संग चीनी की दूकान,

कह जाए गर कोई अपशब्द, तो भी हंस देते हैं,

बस यही है मेरे अनूठे पिता की पहचान!

सराहता है जब कोई मेरे काम को,

लेता है इज्ज़त से महफ़िल में मेरे नाम को,

कहती हूँ सभी से गर्व से तभी, जाता है

श्रेय इसका केवल एक ख़ास आदमी-आम को!

सिखाया है जिन्होंने करना मुझे औरों से प्यार,

उस महान पिता को क्या दूं मैं? कम है हर पुरस्कार,

नाम में ही जिनके है शीतलता अपार,

उस चन्द्र-सम चन्द्र को प्रणाम बारम्बार!
